HTF-AAMI Joint Venture Focuses on Network Risk Management Resources
The Healthcare Technology Foundation is partnering with AAMI to develop resources improve network risk management.

"The risk of integration from multiple disparate systems will present challenges we didn't see before in healthcare, and the skills and competencies required to deal with them are not being taught," says HTF President Emeritus, Yadin David, director of Biomedical Engineering Consultants LLC in Houston, TX.

As the developer and leader of the project, Dr. David's team will be creating in-person workshops and remote training for healthcare technology management (HTM) professionals. The project will focus on how to apply risk management to networked medical technologies. This endeavor will foster the development of new skillsets to help implement the international standard 80001-1, which lays the foundation for the management of networked medical technology risk.
